First, the design (pattern, density, weave, etc.) is created by a textile designer. After having received the technical drawing as well as its direction, the craftsmen weavers then execute the design with their know-how. The Palais KONDROW promotes the intelligence of handweaving through Textile Art made in Côte d'Ivoire.
 
After making the fabric ALUFA (which means Allied), the artists of Palais KONDROW found that the back of the fabric was as distinguished and attractive as the front face. They therefore named this face N'Jav. N'Jav means friend. It is the diminutive of N'Javuê
